Axis Engineering Enterprise Events for schools
AXIS ENGINEERING ENTERPRISE CHALLENGE
For 32 - 64 pupils in teams of 8.
This event is packed with engaging 'hands on' activities which ensure every student is on task for the whole day - praiseworthy in itself as commented by many observing teachers! Working with a business facilitator from local industry, the teams form a company and enjoy a simulated production run, producing fork lift trucks. They have to identify areas to improve quality and output in order to improve their profit margins. They also have to produce a marketing concept and are given a three minute slot in which to 'sell' their products to a panel of buyers using PowerPoint software, this can be very entertaining! Fines, obstacles and even environmental incidents are thrown in during the event, which encourages the students to really think on their feet. At the end of the day, the company with the most profit wins a small prize for each of its employees.
